Hi, I am looking for tips about what beads, designs and websites I should use to further my business cause. I have my own personal .com domain I could use as well. If there are any beaders reading this, what is easy to make to start off with and what sort of beads are currently in fashion?

    First of all, if it’s “easy”, it won’t sell. People would just do their own.

    You need to create things that are unusual and hard to make, using supplies and beads that are not readily available in the corner craft store. I recommend making your own beads and working from there.

    To learn beading, grab some kits from the craft store and then graduate from there before you try going into business. You can start on Ebay (NOT ETSY!) to get your business going, and that will drive traffic to your own dot com site.

    Have you thought about setting up your site with information as well as selling jewelry? People are always looking for good information and instructions. I started my site that way and now I get hundreds of visitors to my site each day. You have to think about what people might want and what information they may be looking for. The great thing about publishing info is that you write it once, but people can come to see it over and over again.Where if you are selling goods you have to keep creating new goods. See what I mean?
