I’m looking into starting an online business, so can anyone please give me some advice on where to begin?

How do you legally start an online business or service?

I would charge maybe $10 or $20 per person per class, and offer subjects such as: Introduction to World Religions, Learn to Read and Write Hebrew, Introduction to Judaism, Introduction to Ancient Religions, etc.
I myself took an online Taoism class like this, and really enjoyed it.
But how do you do this legally? Do you have to get a business license? How do you do taxes? What else do I need to know about starting an online business?
